Day Itinerary:
Your express Manu adventure begins with an early 5:00 AM pick-up from your Cusco hotel. Our private transport ascends through the stunning Andean Mountains, passing pre-Inca ruins at Ninamarca and the traditional town of Paucartambo. By mid-day, we reach the gateway to Manu National Park, one of South America's most protected natural treasures. We'll descend into the enchanting Cloud Forest, where we'll experience the incredible spectacle of the "Cock of the Rock" at its lek – a vibrant, noisy display of colors and sounds by the Peruvian National Bird. We arrive at the comfortable Pona Lodge around 5:00 p.m., ready for a relaxing evening amidst nature.
Day 2: Pona Lodge – Manu Reserved Zone – Casa Matsiguenka (Deep Amazon Immersion)

Day Itinerary:
Today, we delve into the core of Manu National Park. Leaving our lodge at 3:30 AM, we journey to Atalaya Port, then embark on a captivating 5-hour boat ride up the Manu River directly into the Reserved Zone. This river journey is a prime wildlife viewingopportunity: watch for nesting birds, feeding herons, egrets, Orinoco Geese, and hundreds of camouflaged Sand-colored Nightjars. Keep a keen eye out for sunning White and Black Caimans, breeding turtles, and the elusive Jaguar – Manu offers one of the best chances to spot this magnificent cat in the wild! We'll also see various monkey species.
After a riverside lunch, we arrive at our Safari Camp near Cocha Salvador. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the untouched rainforest trails and visiting Cocha Otorongo Oxbow Lake, where an observation tower offers panoramic views and excellent chances to see a family of Giant Otters. An optional night excursion with your guide allows for sightings of nocturnal creatures like Ocelots, Kinkajous, and the glowing eyes of Black Caiman – the sounds of the jungle at night are truly unforgettable. Overnight at the Casa Matsiguenka Lodge, equipped with flush toilets and showers.
Day 3: Manu Reserved Zone – Casa Matsiguenka – Macaw Clay Lick (Otters, Monkeys & Avian Spectacle)

Day Itinerary:
Our day begins before dawn with an early start at Salvador Oxbow Lake. From a floating catamaran, we'll have incredible opportunities to see an array of birds and mammals, including herons, cormorants, eagles, hawks, and various monkey species like squirrel and capuchin monkeys. The highlight will be spotting the magnificent Giant Otters, a rare sight elsewhere but commonly found here.
Directly after our otter encounter, we'll head to a nearby Macaw Clay Lick. Prepare for one of the world's greatest wildlife spectaclesas colorful medium-sized parrots, followed by majestic Scarlet Macaws and Red and Green Macaws, descend to the clay wall. This vibrant, noisy scene provides unparalleled birdwatching and photography opportunities. After this exhilarating morning, we return to Casa Matsiguenka Lodge for lunch. The afternoon features a guided walk through the jungle, where your ecologist guide will illuminate the intricate Amazon ecosystem, pointing out smaller inhabitants like emperor and saddle-backed tamarins, and possibly even groups of peccaries. Overnight at Casa Matsiguenka Lodge.
Day 4: Reserved Zone – Papaya Lodge – Tapir Clay Lick (Predators & Nocturnal Wonders)

- Scenic boat journey down the Manu River.

After lunch, we'll re-board our boat, beginning our journey downstream towards Boca Manu, then upriver to the comfortable Papaya Lodge for our final night in the deep jungle.
In the afternoon, we head to a special Tapir Clay Lick. Here, we'll settle into a hidden jungle blind, spending the night observing these fascinating creatures and other nocturnal animals as they visit the lick for essential minerals. This immersive experience offers a unique insight into the Amazon's nocturnal wildlife.
Day 5: Papaya Lodge – Cusco (Journey Home with Memories)
